Yes. This first one was a historic site, and I expected building foundations or at least a site marker. There was nothing there but underbrush. The park in which it is located, however, does have some nice spots.

The second one, with the mosquitoes, can be an enchanting place for birds and small mammals. Reputedly there are even gray foxes there. The mosquitoes, though, I can find plenty of at home.
