Got a rat this morning, and another in the trap just before sunset. I begin to suspect that our odd British neighbors were keeping the rat population down by letting their dogs (including a feisty old Cairn terrier) roam at will all over everyone's property. Now that they've gone back to England, the rats are growing bolder.
