I'm pretty sure the average size even here is in the 5 to 10 cm range. The last one we saw that was this large happened three years ago. I'm not quoting Guinness or anything, but I think the record size is quite a bit larger than this one. Like a meter or so diameter? The amazing thing is how fast they grow. Usually not there one day, and the next morning, surprise!
