Wuffs arrive, one by mail, one by bicycle
Here's the new adoptee about to be rescued from his shipping box:

And after he had a few minutes to decompress, here he is with a couple of his new packmates:

I'll get the entire muttley pack together for a candid shot later. The new guy is a Wild Republic Natural Poses wolf (30 in.) and is now the biggest wolf I have, slightly larger than the Cuddlekins guy. I love his huge paws. [Edit: Here's the whole pack in one plushpile.]
And in other action, Roth and Hiller (the real one) arrive in Westvale by bicycle to exchange notes with Sergeant Rufus.
Today's installment here.

So now you're three days ahead... which means I would be only a week behind in reading it, but I'm actually a week and a half behind. *selfbap* The first week was fun reading; I just get distracted easily. I will get back to it.

I love those old growlboxes. I used to offer them as an option when I made custom teddy bears back in the 80s. Probably still have one or two lying around somewhere. I agree about the modern voice boxes and digital playback devices. I don't think much of them at all. Wilhelmina Wolf was a gift, though, and I suppose someday her batteries will go dead though she's been around for at least twelve years now and is still going "loud." I do have a palm sized pony and a similar sheep that produce digitally captured horse and sheep sounds when squeezed, but they are novelty items rather than anything I'd consider to be serious plush. Mechanical noisemakers, such as bells or squeaks I don't mind so much.

My sister had a lion plush back in the 60s with one of those pull string voices. I remember it said things like "I'll step on you," and "Raaar! Oooh! I scared myself." That was sort of amusing at least, and it was more a cartoon character looking critter than realistic.
