Well, took the day off work and mostly slept through it, hoping to be better for tomorrow when I really must be there at least for my late shift. Ugh. And there's a snowstorm predicted for those hours. Maybe the library will be empty. I can only hope.
My brain is too muzzy to write anything witty, so here's a set of rather unusual groups of four from

Date: 2005-12-13 07:49 pm (UTC)I never could quite accept the fifth Doctor... the actor portraying him was still Tristan from All Creatures Great and Small to me. He played that role so well I couldn't shake that image of him.

Date: 2005-12-14 04:29 am (UTC)My favorites as the Dr are Baker, of course, immediately followed by Jon Pertwee, who I enjoyed immensely. Patrick Troughton was really good too, and it's unfortunate that all his episodes have not survived. It seems funny to think of things made in "modern" times being casually lost the way silent films were.
As for crossovers from All Creatures Great and Small, seeing Siegfried Farnon suddenly appear as Cornelius Fudge in the Harry Potter movies was disorienting for me. There are also a couple of All Creatures episodes where Patrick Troughton appeared as an itinerant farmhand with a sick dog.
