It's spring...
Mar. 10th, 2006 06:41 pmBrief update, in case anyone wonders where I am the next couple of days...
1. New lamb was born this morning. Eating, running around, doing fine, but requires regular checking. A boy, black wool. I'm thinking of naming him Bah-Bah-Lou. Pictures for those who crave them in a day or two. Flock is back up to seven.
2. The lost is found. The missing drop spindle had fallen behind one of my looms and was hiding between it and the wall. Recovered, working, so I'm set to go to the workshop tomorrow for which I wanted it.
3. Mate is singing with a group at the Chicago Maritime Festival this weekend, so I'm home alone. Means I have all the animal chores to do myself, which is OK but does eat up time. That plus the workshop I'm going to tomorrow will keep me well occupied probably until at least Sunday afternoon when Gary returns.
4. The last major hurdle in my database + web + ASP project was overcome this afternoon, so the conversion of 15 library PCs to Linux is now at full steam ahead. No, I won't be working overtime on that. The worst is already done, but I'm not paid enough to put in lots of extra hours. Side advantage: I had to learn enough ASP (yucky) and VBScript (yuckier) so that I can do a couple of other things we need too.
