Petersen Farm
Jun. 27th, 2010 07:53 pmThird year, not so many dumb questions as in the past.
Up early, made picnic salad and packed it with crackers, dressing, and whole apples. Off to pick up neighbor Toni and up to the historic park in a steady rain. Fortunately they did have tent canopies for us. We unloaded in the rain and I went and parked the car. Rain finally started to let up just at opening time, so we set up and started spinning. Paused for lunch, took a brief break to walk over and listen to the music stage, but otherwise spun all day, 10-5. Filled all my bobbins (the ones I had with me, anyway.)
Someone was going around the park telling us that the weather services predicted another round of severe storms after 2 pm, but no such storms actually appeared. Sky full of dark clouds in the morning gradually cleared off, leaving us with sunlight and moderate temperatures.
A lot of "where do you get wool" questions this year, but no one thought we killed a sheep for the wool.
