Late night
Oct. 19th, 2011 10:22 pmBut Wednesday always is. Farrier came to trim hooves this morning while I was at work. Everyone is OK, but he wants to come back in a couple of weeks to make some more adjustments to Tess' forehoof (the one that had the big chip out of it last spring, if anyone remembers.) It has grown back, but a bit uneven and he didn't want to trim too much at once.
Since both Gary and I get home after 8:30 pm on Wednesdays now, I threw some stuff in the crockpot when I was home at lunch time. Turned into a pretty creditable chicken cacciatore. Have to make note of that recipe for future use. I think I want to add sliced ripe olives, but otherwise it was fine.
Cold, windy, and drizzle here. So much for autumn, I think it's already winter even though there are still leaves on about half the trees. Time to hit the sack where it's nice and warm and I won't want to get up in the morning.
