Abnormal even for Wednesday
Mar. 14th, 2012 09:42 pmFirst of all it was sunny and 75F outdoors. This is very weird for March. Library door count was 1332, about double the normal, and we didn't even have any special events going on. The place was full of wild, screaming kids all afternoon and much of the evening.
Also full of needy helpless types, wanting to send faxes without knowing to whom they were to go, wanting to make copies but no idea how to use a copier, and so forth. Why I don't like working at the front desk.
Battled and tricked Overdrive into writing a downloadable audiobook to a CD so I could listen to it in my car. It wanted to write standard CDs, 9 of them. But I tricked it into giving me the MP3 files instead. Now I need to remember how I did that.
Need to work on wuff boots, but not tonight. It's already too late and tired. Yes, I know that's ungrammatical, too bad. Live with it.
More of the same tomorrow, but fortunately only a half day of work for me.
