How many heads can two horses have? Or how many legs, for that matter. I'm confused. (Calendar photo by Bob Langrish.) This is how I've felt all day, doing data conversion work from home, trying to weave, cook, and do animal stuff all at once.

Bob Langrish is the only nice equine photographer that I ever met.

He was funny,laidback and good with the horses.

I have a ton of pics like that I took from the TB farms when the herds of colts would have thier packs.

Usaully there would be one head colt with his best bud and a few followers always right up thier asses

Reminds me of Thunder and Tonka. In their case, Tonka is the one in front but often they are side-by-side. Best friends in spite both have many gouges and scars from their play fighting.

BTW, Thunder is now in halter, a good-fitting one but not a break-away. We are concerned he might break the halter during one of his brat attacks while on lead, which would only encourage a potentially growing problem of being hard to catch and lead. What we need to do is spend a lot more time with him just catching him and leading him and rewarding him for good behavior and being firmer with him about stuff like rearing.

I am a fan of Bob Langrish and his photography. He is very prolific and I see his photos everywhere not just calendars but in many horse magazines. Good to hear he is a nice guy, too. I know another equine photographer who is a nice guy... me. Grin.

Yea our boys are like that too, often side by side or else one so close behind the other that a kick would never land.

Sounds like Thunder needs round pen work. Even though he's a fairly little guy, he could hurt someone behaving that way. He's not malicious, I know, but he thinks everyone is another horse and can stand up to bites and kicks.

He's really a smart guy, so I suspect he just needs intellectual challenge to keep him on track. I'd be tempted to try to get him to do more things on either verbal commands or cues of some sort. I think he'd enjoy it and it would give him something to do, just like dogs prefer having things to do.

I've certainly bought his calendars often enough. I do wish he'd put a descriptive line with the photo though. Location, date, and horse's name and breed would be welcome information.
