Easy day, mostly
Aug. 21st, 2006 09:45 pmWe were going to go see a film, but couldn't find anything we thought was worth bothering with. Cars would have been cool but it's already gone from all the places around here. That stupid thing with the snakes has swamped all the megaplexes and neither of us has the least interest in that.
I did get some spinning done, and also some progress on renovating the donated spinning wheel that a library user gave me. I'll be passing it on to my guild, though. I have enough spinning wheels already and can only use one at a time.
Checked the garden before watering it and found a couple of runaway zucchinis. It's amazing how fast they go to football size if you don't catch them. Mostly green tomatoes. Did get a few sweet little cherry tomatoes though and we had those with romaine for a dinner salad.
Revised insurance endorsement for the new car came, confirming the fact that my premium actually went down. I'm in a quandary about the tags. They are up for renewal and will otherwise expire at the end of September. I don't want that to happen. But the renewal documents already came and have the Jeep listed on them. The dealer transferred my plates to the Escape, but I don't know how long it will take the state to process that. I'm afraid if I send in the renewal on the Jeep documents it will mess everything up. But if the new registration doesn't come through in time, the plates will expire, which will mess everything up too. Bureaucracy is just wonderful.
