Is my tail OK? Is my tail OK?

All that marching around outside is just havoc on long hair. ;p Photo by [livejournal.com profile] goldenstallion.
Are you done yet? Are you done yet?

Thanks. Still not finished, I have little things to add. But I'm starting to think about the next one. :)

Must have been warm! I thought that maybe you would just fur-up ankles and wrists, head and groin areas

Some do that. It is warm, but a full suit is much more cuddly looking too. I'd say the majority are full suits. You can see lots of photos of the fursuits (we had 215+ at the con) at http://pics.critter.net/view/ConPics/MFF_2006/ and there are now a bunch of video clips on youtube.com (search for "midwest furfest 2006" and "mff 2006" to find them.)

The weather in this area is cool enough by late November that wearing a full suit isn't too uncomfortable for the most part. I don't know how people do it in places like Florida and California, though.

Gorgeous! But one question....

Why the long face?

*ducks and runs*

(That joke is older than I am)

Actually I think it's older than both of us put together with [livejournal.com profile] damnbear's age added in too. ;p

Actually it isn't too bad. The fur is the short haired type and the fit is deliberately loose. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, though I'm still making improvements.

Equine suits must be very difficult to make o.O
*looks at the photos* Biiiiigg hooves

No more difficult than any other type of fursuit. It's all anatomy and cartooning.

Yep, draft horses have big feet. But you don't see my hooves in those photos. You are seeing the feathers, long hairs that cover the hooves and swing when a horse steps, adding flash. In Clydesdales, they are generally preferred to be white, but can be black like mine. The white is very showy for parades and stuff.
