It's a dry thunder

I'm way short on sleep. Thunderstorms woke us up last night before 3 am, and Gary went out to close a couple of barn doors. He got pretty wet on his way back. After that, I laid awake listening to the thunder and watching lightning flashes. It sounded like a lot of rain, but turned out not to really be so much when all was said and done. More storms were predicted for the day, but none materialized. The ground is still dry and cracked.

Supposed to rain more overnight, but the probabilities are decreasing already. I should be spinning or knotting, but I may just take a nap instead.
