Went into Chicago to Gary's mom's house for mother's day. He had several of his musical friends come there and they did a sort of house concert for her. It was nice, but we didn't get back home until sunset (nearly 8 pm) and the horses were a bit peeved at us. Late supper and off to bed because we have to be up and running early in the morning again.

will live, Gary's mum must be old and needs music.

I think she's 77 now. She was reluctant when he first suggested it because she's uncomfortable with strangers coming into her house. But these were all folks she knows from many meetings before, Gary's personal friends, so in the end she had a good time with it. They brought foodstuff, and paper plates and things so she had nothing to do but sit and enjoy it. All the furniture was put back and everything cleaned up before we left.
