It was a tough decision this morning. The weavers guild is meeting at this very minute, and a noted writer on the subject of weave structures is speaking to them. I have her latest book and would have liked to take it for her to sign for me. However, I have to work late tonight, which will limit my writing time. So... it was write or go to the meeting. The fact that I'd have to leave before the presentation was over in order to get to work settled it in the end. I stayed home and wrote. This story is coming more easily than last year's did. I'm using the word counter on FurRag for the moment, which is a bit on the generous side, but it's only coming in about 150 words higher than the count in OpenOffice, so I'd rather feel encouraged. I'm close to where I should be by midnight tonight, and may be able to get ahead before then. Though not too many people have said anything about it (perhaps a half dozen) the counters at FurRag claim that the unfinished story has already been perused by about 90 readers. I'm impressed, even if that count is as generous as the word count they give.
New chapter is here.
