More storms pound Wisconsin
Jun. 14th, 2008 04:57 pmThe view due north over the pasture at 5:30 pm. Wisconsin was getting hammered again, according to the radar, with severe thunderstorm warnings lit up north of the state line from Madison all the way to Kenosha. That darker line just above the trees appears to be the center of the activity. No lightning was visible from here, though.
Threatening clouds were approaching us from the west at the same time, and within a few minutes the sun was suddenly overcast. You can see that view here. We hurried to bring the animals in and feed them, even though it was a bit early. Wind and rain hit about 20 minutes later, but nothing very serious in spite of the ominous sky. Forecast says to expect more this evening and tomorrow.
It was a beautiful morning though, sunny, blue skies, no clouds. Gary and Rob, as Bear Creek, had a gig playing at the farmers' market in Woodstock, and I had a guild meeting. Sold a fleece (yay!) and left early to meet the musicians for lunch on the Square in town.
