Snow and stuff
Nov. 30th, 2008 05:24 pmWet snow. Started around 3 pm while we were still having dinner. Our guests did come, taking the risk, and left just after four when the snow was starting to accumulate. Roads still looked wet rather than slushy, so with any luck they'll get home safely. The current forecast calls for four to seven inches of accumulation by morning, though the temperature will need to fall off more for that to happen. We've been above freezing for a couple of days and much of this is melting as it hits solid surfaces.
This year's NaNo ends at midnight and I get a big fail. I kinda figured that would happen. I can't do a fursuit and write 50K words and work full time all at once. I knew that, already learned it back in 2005. I started, but didn't manage to finish, the suit in October which would have made the major difference. I made the halfway mark on the NaNo, which is OK. I'll probably go back to completely finish last year's book before going on with this one.
Still waiting on the fursuit photos from the con, hoping Dexcat got some good ones.
Now we're going to go put up our Christmas tree. No, it doesn't have religious symbolism. It's just a pretty thing decorated with animals, teddy bears, horses, sheep, and lights to make things cheerful during the darkest month of the year.

Date: 2008-12-01 03:58 pm (UTC)The one from 2006 is done except for final proof and polishing.
The one from 2005 was nowhere near done when I stopped, but recently there has been some interest expressed so I might get back to it.
