Rejumbling history

altivoI found time to delve more deeply into details of the lives of Henry II, Richard I, and Eleanor of Aquitaine today. While I've been intentionally joggling the timeline a bit, and playing freely with the characters and their roles and titles, I've now decided that a little more attention to accurate history is in order. Not too much attention, since this is clearly an alternate universe, but at least enough to avoid major complaints of inaccuracies. Ricky will have his proper title as Count of Anjou, rather than Duke, for instance.
I've both compressed and dilated events that took place in the 1187-1189 timespan in order to suit the reduced level of historical detail I need. And for those who've been waiting, the snarky horses make their first limited appearance in this installment. I also take the liberty of denying a longstanding and popular legend about Henry's funeral.

Getting really cold outside, I think. And tomorrow morning, the visitor from the golden retriever rescue group comes to "inspect" our house and facilities. ;p
