Here's Red!
Dec. 10th, 2010 06:18 amNot the best photos, but for the curious, here are a couple of snaps I took of our new adopted dog this morning, when neither he nor I was quite fully awake. So far he's been very well behaved and eager to be with us.

Fuzzy because the flash didn't go off, but then he's fuzzy anyway (yuk yuk.) We pulled the crate in from the barn for him because his foster mom recommended it, but haven't really used it other than to ask him to go into it, which he does willingly and now has done on his own once just to lie down on the blanket. Because he will "counter surf" for unprotected edible items, he may have to be crated for brief periods.

"Wake me when the coffee's ready." It was not yet 6 am. Just for scale, the white object above his head is a 5 cubic foot refrigerator that Gary converted to a dough warming box for bread baking. Red is a big guy, about 95 pounds and tall enough that you can scratch his ears without leaning over.
