We won't be seeing the eclipse here I think. Heavy snow clouds and either more snow or else freezing rain predicted. We have about four inches of new snow on the ground, all of which fell since 3 pm or so today.

Gary was in Chicago and delayed, called me at work to say he'd be late. Neither he nor I knew that it was starting to snow heavily here at that point. I left work early so as to do animal care and be done by dark if possible, only to discover a good half inch of accumulation already and roads very slippery. Did make it home, though, and did get chores done. Gary didn't get home until nearly 7 pm. Conditions were very poor by then.

This has disrupted baking plans for the evening. I think we're going to bed shortly. Both of us are stretched too far.

Mail did come through, including a box with presents for Gary. *pounce, hide*

Completely clear skies here, the eclipse should start any moment now.

Full moon, winter solstice, total eclipse - that can't be a common event.

Sadly the moon disappeared behind the trees when three quarters of it was gone, but until then it was a pretty beautiful sight.
