Very noisy thunderstorm just went by 15 minutes or so ago. May add more later... or not.

Well, last night at 2100 or so that was true.

Right now, at 0930, it is clear and sunny.

The sunset yesterday evening was remarkably odd: the entire sky turned a sort of rose-magenta color with black, blue, and white cloud layers against it. The overall lighting effect on the landscape was pretty threatening.

We had a lot of lightning and tremendous thunderclaps, but in this specific location there was little rain or wind. Places within 50 miles or so had much worse: direct lightning strikes, trees down, and heavy rain or even hail.
