Yeah, I had it narrowed down to two or three and you were a candidate. DW will recognize you if: 1) you are currently logged into LJ; and 2) you specify to use OpenID when commenting and give the URL of your LJ page. If you login at www.dreamwidth.org using OpenID you can tell it to remember you. That works until one of the cookies expires or is erased.
