In the current market, the sticker price is a bargain for a new car. At least, for the models that are in demand. Ford Maverick or Bronco Sport just aren't available unless you order and wait. Consequently, many dealers seem to be marking prices up as much as several thousand over the sticker price. It's true that other lines, such as the Escape, don't seem to be selling as fast as they were and discounts are offered.
In the case of Maverick, even used ones (rare, but they show up) vanish in a day or two, regardless of prices that are often above the new sticker price. It's a seller's market right now.
