Slapstick comedy. If you don't get it, then it doesn't apply to you. But you watch more American television than I do by far, so I'm surprised you didn't catch on.

All I remember about rubber chickens is from the first Secret of Monkey Island game, in the early 90's. Other than that ... Well.

Of course, Monkey Island was slapstick comedy from start to finish ('LOOK! A three-headed monkey!' or 'How To Get A-Head In Navigating' comes to mind), so I guessed as much.

What's interesting about that result is that the only vaguely animal-related answer I gave was "rubber chicken" for the first one (couldn't help laughing). The link claims that there are lots of results, yet three of us got the same result.
