My list isn't as many different places as it seems. Lansing and East Lansing are two towns that border on each other and really are the same place, at least where I lived. The four neighborhoods of Chicago in which I've lived differ more than any of the Michigan places do from one another. My present living situation is indeed quite different, being rural or at least exurban, where we have livestock and barns and big fields of corn and beans. :)
