We have nothing to lose but our sense of humor. If you came out as a "Cultural Creative" on on this quiz, join us in a new community devoted to the subject: [livejournal.com profile] culturalcreator.

Why not? Everyone else has a special community, now we have one too. We can discuss matters of precedence, who gets to wear which color, and who has the tallest pointy hat. Of course, the forum is also open to real issues of spirituality, eclecticism, and dealing with ideas that are not concrete while living in a materialistic culture.

No fundamentalism allowed unless it is FUN. Sense of humor required, but serious ideas are welcome.

Now where did I put that Fuller Brush catalog?

What if Materialist edged out Cultural Creative by only six percentage points for us?

We feel cranky and left out :(

We also should probably not refer to us as plural no matter how much we weigh ...

The editorial we is still acceptable. The imperial we should be left to the monarchical types. :)

The community is open. You are welcome to join or monitor it if you wish. The only restriction I set is that you have to join if you want to post.

I got that result, and I choose to exercise my cultural creativity by refusing to join your community. :)

That's to be expected. Since you get to make up your own rules as you go along, it's statistically inevitable that someone had to take that slant. ;P

Ahh, but to bamboozle you further I retract my earlier refusal.

It is the time fo joining up and then looking suspiciously at each other, not the time of midnight wailings and refusals to eat cookies together!

Spoken like a true creative.

Cookies! Good idea. I hereby declare that whenever two of us are gathered together, there shall be cookies. :)

No quibbling about what kind. Several varieties shall be provided.

I fully endorse the cookie plank of our platform.

Oh... wait... this isn't necessarily political... I'm mixing my metaphors. Well, what's a meta for, anyway?

(never mind me, I'm just trying to relieve stress....either that, or it's stress that's making me say this... not sure which...)

Ah, you mean the Doctrine of Cookies. High on the list that shall define our credo, I think. Unless of course there be doughnuts.

I don't know what cultural creativism is, and um... I don't think the results of an online quiz make a good club. ;)

I mean, I took one and it told me I was a flying fax machine...

A quiz in itself doesn't make a good basis for an association, I agree. Though some quizzes are certainly better than others, and I might consider the results of a Myers-Briggs type before the "What kind of song are you?" type.

In this case, though, a surprising number of my friends have come out as "Cultural Creative" even though none of us ever heard of it before. Apparently it's a new concept that we fit into all unawares. That's interesting. So I propose to explore just what it is (or isn't.) And mayhap to have some fun on the way.

It seems that ALL of my friends have come out, so far anyway, as Cultural Creative. I seem to be the sole black sheep of my friends ...

Nah. [livejournal.com profile] equiphile came out 'Romanticist' and [livejournal.com profile] calydor actually tied on three or four different groups.

And if you ask a 'Fundamentalist' then the 'Cultural Creatives' are surely the blackest sheep in the bunch. They reject orthodoxy, which is the key premise of fundamentalism.

I also seem to have a higher "Fundamentalist" than most. [livejournal.com profile] pokeypony is only six percentage points ahead of me there.

Ack, I still need to clear it out of my system!

I didn't get that on the quiz... I don't remember what I got, but it wasn't that. But I was tied for exostentialism, and my tiebreaker made me the other thing... So... I don't know.

Well, anyone can join if you're interested. However, I recommend you have a sense of humor, as we've been pretty flippant so far.

Do I stil qualify with this ambiguous result?

Cultural Creative100%
Idealist 100%
Existentialist 88%
Romanticist 63%
Postmodernist 50%
Modernist 50%
Materialist 38%
Fundamentalist 25%

Ideally, I'd say yes. *snicker* Or am I just being a creative idealist?

Sure, we'd be glad to have you. The community is open, the only requirement for joining is interest. Idealism is probably pretty compatible anyway. :)

By the way, I think you're the first one I've seen to score 100%. Most of us hit in the 80s somewhere.

I sent you an invitation to join, though it isn't essential. You can go right to the community info page and join from there.
