Recommend to me: 1. A movie 2. A book 3. A musical artist, song, or album 4. A person on livejournal not on my friends list 5. A recipe 6. A website 7. A quote
Then post this same list of requests to your own journal.
1. A movie Labrynth 2. A book David Edding's begariad series 3. A musical artist, song, or album Ozzy! 4. A person on livejournal not on my friends list Syn 5. A recipe Emeril's Chicken and Dumplings search foodtv.com 6. A website www.fictionpress.com/~sabbathsilverclaw 7. A quote "You're human." [Blade] "Not quite. I'm a lawyer" [vamp prince lawyer]
Glad you liked. Emeril's chicken and dumplings is very good. Be sure to use a whole chicken instead of just the chicken breasts like the recipe says. It tastes much better that way.
There is a correction that needs to be done on the book recommendation. Its the Belgariad series. Silly me typoed yet again heh Enjoy!
1. "Grave of the Fireflies" by Studio Ghibli (Miyazaki) 2. "The Lost Continent", by Bill Bryson - you will like this, I can almost assure that. 3. "A Sense of Wonder" by Van Morrison 4. zytx 5. I can only cook one thing, and calydor got that. Red Baron do nice pizza. ^)^ 6. http://www.sinfest.net 7. "Golf: the best way to spoil a good walk." any ideas who?
I have a lot of trouble making sense of Miyazaki, but I'll look for that one.
The quote is generally attributed to George Bernard Shaw. Sometimes such attributions are phony, I don't know about this one for sure. Usually it is stated as "one sure way to spoil a good walk."
Red Baron I think I'll skip. I already do good pizza myself. ;)
Xanadu is a musical with ELO! It's also got Olivia Newton-John, and the final appearance of Gene Kelly. It's a little dated (roller skates? Records?), but it's fun. Some really great songs in it.
Redeeming Factors was a very hard book to find, but well worth the effort. It takes place in the near future, when scientists have stumbled on the secret to building a cheap, reliable jumpdrive. For about $5000, anyone can have their own spaceship. And with everyone flitting around the galaxy, it was only a matter of time before other life forms were discovered. Most of them resemble highly evolved Earth creatures, but none more so than the H'kaah, a race of anthropomorphic rabbits that many humans find... sexy....
Who is Alton Brown? WHO IS ALTON BROWN? Have you been living in a cave? ;) Alton Brown is a Cooking God. He's the host of Good Eats on the Food Network. His recipes are generally simple, every day food that anyone can make, like cheese sandwiches or pot roast or turkey. And he always explains the science and history of cooking. His turkey recipe is generally considered one of the best turkey recipes on the planet. It involves soaking the turkey in a brine for several hours, and then roasting quickly with very high heat, which makes a bird that is SO juicy and tender you'd never believe turkey could ever taste so good.

Horseballs are good, though my horses aren't very interested. My dogs like them.
And who is Alton Brown?
