Horse
You are a horse furry! The most logical of furs.
You alwas try to think things through before
you do them. You dont usually look to make
friends but end up doing that anyway. Horray
for horses!

What kind of furry are you?

I'm shocked, I tell you. SHOCKED!

Don't really like the picture, tho. We know that's not the Real You.

Nah, you should be shocked only if I came out as an electric eel.

The picture is kinda silly but you know, it reminds me of Quickdraw McGraw, a character I always enjoyed, and especially when he was El Kabong, the masked avenger who used a guitar (Kabonger) as a weapon. :)

hehe, I thought of Quickdraw McGraw as well when i saw that pic :P
All they needed was to put Babalooey in it ^_^

The fox is just as silly looking. Someone said it looked like
Elton John as a fox...

Hmmm, Im not liking this one. Once again my alter ego rears his head in my results. How odd is that. Split personality perhaps?

Wuffs are good too. I like them. ;) Enough so that on WildSpirits some of my antagonists referred to me as "wolf-lover" behind my back, and I had a wolf who was an honorary herd member.

I have been told that horses were refered to as "Medicine Dogs" by Native American tribes that lived on the great plains - tribes who's style of living only became possible with the return of the horse, a native species lost here during the last ice age. The magic dogs that men could ride were valued for their intelligence and loyalty, very canine traits.

Correct by my sources too. Wakan Tanka is the term in (I think) Lakotah. There was, of course, no word in the language for 'horse' because no one had seen a horse there for thousands of years at least. 'Dog' was the closest animal in appearance that they could match up, though the horse was huge by comparison and obviously magical.

Yep, that's me. I'm part wolf, there is no denying it. I first dipped my paws..errr..hooves into the furry world as a wolf and that is still a part of me in some ways. I certainly do show some of the personalites of a wolf though I think the stallion is the dominant part of my personality. Think of me as a stallion with wolfish traits. :)

Carnivorous horse? ;P

You know, i find it rather spooky that while I was typing out my response that you and animist were posting about horses with canine traits. That description suits me very well.

Carniverous horse? Perhaps. Come a bit closer and let me show you what big teeth(fangs) I have. :)

Hee. 'Tivo has fangs too, but only on Tapestries and only for a couple of very, very specialized uses. They aren't canine or feline in character, but more... reptilian. On Taps and certainly everywhere else, he is vegetarian, though sometimes quite a gourmet vegetarian. ;)

Hmph. Too mammal-centric, I'd say! No options for a big winged lizard, like me...

Dragons are a tricky subject. Certainly they inhabit the furry realm, but are they furries? Some (including some dragons) say they are not. Many of the dragons I know are some kind of otherkin, which is yet another aspect.

So I understand how a quiz author forgot to include a dragon category, but I also agree with you that it should have been included.

I'm rather aware of the Otherkin category, being one myself, and I understand those who consider themselves quite disjoint from Furry; it's very, very possible to have a non-human soul whilst having negligible intrest in or amusement from the concept of animals modified to have humanoid characteristics.

However, there are enough furries (scalies, perhaps, but it's properly a subset) who do represent themselves as dragons that it probably should be considered in general. I agree with your assertion that it is not safe to assume that if someone is a dragon, that person is also a furry, but the full either way- no furries are dragons, and/or no dragons are furries- is provably false.

Of course, if you dispute things based upon dragons that have scales, there exist a nontrivial number of fuzzy ones... :p

Nah, it's just that people have finite patience for creating arbitrary quiz results, and there are silly people who would be offended to be told that they're actually a reptile.

*opens his mouth in a wide smile to display a pair of sharp, retractable, reptilian fangs*

I'm a mammal, really. :) But still a sort of chimera. Yes, I remembered that you have occasionally dropped hints about being otherkin. And I understand that situation fairly well, I hope. I like your simple definition here, though in practice I mostly seem to encounter something more exclusive that refers specifically to draconity. By your definition, though, (non-human soul wearing a human phenotype) I can include myself as otherkin.

Ooh, nifty!

Hardly "dropped hints", it's more like "duct-taped all over my userinfo"! As for specific definitions for dragons- well, dragons and gryphons tend to be in slightly more ambiguous category-space than most other Otherkin.

Definition arguments about "Otherkin" get remarkably silly in very short order. My definition is the widest accepted one, which I use mostly out of convenience. Then there's the "mythological creature" definition, with the category of "therianthrope" thrown in for terrestrial and non-humanoid creatures; that would place me as both Otherkin and Therianthrope without placing you as Otherkin or an elf as Therianthrope. Then there's the version where Otherkin covers only mythological, but Therianthrope has no such restrictions, and then you wind up with offended elves who don't like being described by something with the root word "beast-man". Then there are those for whom Therianthrope implies shifting of some form- rather than my state of just being a dragon inconveniently incarnated into a human form, that of having one's mental state switch between that of a human and that of a dragon; or, more popularly, a wolf.

Yay for arbitrary and confusing terminology!

*looks at your info page* You're right, I forgot what was on there. I was referring just to your typical journal entries.

It's good to hear from a relative "insider" much the same ideas and thoughts that I have being "not quite" otherkin. I can and do claim the therianthrope label, though I'm not at all happy with the bickering that goes on in that group either.
