So much for spring

Got into the 80s today. When I passed through downtown at lunchtime, the Chamber of Commerce sign seemed to have a couple of LEDs out, so it was indicating the temperature as 32F rather than 82F. Unless someone thought that was a good joke...
You would think that weather like that would keep people out of the library, but the computer users were as insistent as ever. Thank goodness the machines now shut down automatically at 15 minutes before closing. It used to be really difficult to get people out the doors so we could lock up.
Fox is back. I'm quite sure. Haven't seen her yet, but I've smelled her several times and she's been digging in various places.
This would be the weekend to get lots more stuff into the garden. Hopefully the promised thunderstorms Saturday through Tuesday morning won't materialize. Lots of stuff to do indoors as well, but none of it is as time critical as planting. At least tonight we'll get to sleep with windows open for the first time this year. I wonder whether it will be to traffic noise or to frogs. I definitely prefer the frogs and maybe the fox yerfing.

Date: 2009-04-25 02:02 pm (UTC)I will never understand the North American interpretation of temperature.
I read this and thought for a second that you and Gary had gone for a night out in Reflex. :D
