I should be at 10000 words, and I'm at least within reach of it at 9800.

The first four chapters are posted in their entirety here.

Most of the fifth is posted here.

And, like it or not, I have to stop writing and go to work. ;P

I like the subtle introduction of humans and also
the idea that, perhaps, flying horses did exist
at one time in pre-history. The flying scene in
the storm are well done.

The flying scenes are slow going. I want enough detail to make them alive, but I don't want to drag the rest of the story down with them. It takes a lot of experimenting and rewriting. Glad you liked it.

Even though this story has no sex in it, I guess Disney will never buy it. ;P

Durn Disney!

As a side note, maybe one huge flying scene,
where you pull out all the stops, would do
for the reader later when you hinted at it.

But thats just me.

Oh, there are some more nifty aerobatics to come. Most in flashback involving Kynthia and her mate Celeris, the black son of Pegasus. We have to learn, obviously, why Zeus was so angry with them, and we will.

You actually went and read it all? Now I've gotcha!

More flying scenes to come, and some great (at least I think so) tie-ins and take-offs on classic myth and legend. What really happened to Bellerophon? Who were the offspring of Pegasus and where did they end up? Who was Zeus shacked up with that week? (just kidding on that one, I think)

How did Pegasus end up as a constellation in the sky? What became of his only relic, the single feather that fell to earth as he flew up into the heavens for the last time?

And of course, what is Menander, a grandson of Pegasus himself, doing disguised as a mustang in the 19th century American west? All will be revealed eventually... ;P

I think I read it all. At least I hope I did. (Followed both links) If there's more....just point the way. :)

It's really kind of surprising just how the words can add up. I would have guessed that close to ten thousand words would take a lot longer to read.

You got all that was posted at that point. There's more now. Same places.

Who was Zeus shacked up with that week?

You know, a great mind-exploding twist would be if it was Pegasus. :)
