Sequel to vehicle problem report
Nov. 16th, 2005 01:03 pmCar is now in the shop (Ford dealer, but they can't be any worse than Chrysler has been) for diagnosis. I don't expect to be lucky enough to get it back quickly, but as soon as they give me a time estimate I'll call a rental place. No way am I missing MFF after planning it for a year.
Photos of finished fursuit may wait until after the con, but the last details should be done tonight, once I get home from work.
Update 2:00 pm: Ford dealer called and thinks he can have it all fixed yet today. Apparently there was no fluid leak, but the front rotors had corroded and worn past the limits of the self adjustment mechanism. So I will have those replaced, the rear brakes adjusted, and the U joints on the 4WD replaced too since they are loose and corroded (I suspected that because of noise but the Chrysler dealer kept insisting they were OK.) Road salt does more damage than it's worth, especially when you consider that not only does it consume vehicles entire, it pollutes the environment and damages soil and growing plants over a wide area.
