Sooo...

Poor mate is sick with a bad cold, spending much of his time sleeping. So I got to do all the chores myself today, as well as what I usually do on Saturday. Not impossible, but, whooo, a lot of stuff. Also drove down to Union to pick up bedding for the horses (they have a once a month sale, today was the day) and managed to squeeze a dozen bales into the Jeep. Started to snow again while I was there.

The ABS warning light has been off, but on the way back the ABS activated at a slippery corner (I was already nearly stopped, which is usually when it goes on for some reason) and then the warning light came on and stayed on again. I guess it's going to have to be looked at.

Weather says another inch of snow, but we already have that and it's still coming down. Actually, though, if it's snowing that means it's not terribly cold, so I'm not complaining. Wind is from the south, bringing moisture up that is turning into snow when it hits the cold here I guess. I'm glad I got some good rubber boots last spring. Only wore them once, it was so dry last spring and summer. But they're great for all this snow. I did two hours of outside chores at dusk tonight and my feet stayed dry. Yay.

Yay for dry feet!

Poor mate... hope he kicks the cold bug very very soon.

Me too. And I hope I don't catch it (hooves crossed.) I can do all this stuff when I'm not at work, but tomorrow's Monday.

Also, I refuse to mess with the snowblower. That's entirely his toy and I have an inherent and deepseated dislike for noisy engine thingies.

Sorry to hear that your mate is under the weather but I glad to hear you are both back home safe.

*grins* You sound just like my mate when it comes to noisey things with engines. :P

Probably. How people find them exciting or even recreational is beyond me. I love a sailboat or a rowboat, but a racing boat or outboard motor offends me greatly. Snowmobiles and dirt bikes I can't stand. I've been known to enjoy a motorcycle, but only the quiet, purring kind. It's the noise, often combined with the stench of ten million year old dinosaur carcasses, that puts me right off.

Hmmm, well I guess I shouldn't tell you that I just loved riding my dirtbike when I was in college...and that the skiboat takes the place of that now. To each his own though I guess. Right?

You didn't need to tell, I had already guessed. It fits with other elements of your personality. :)

Hmmm, is that the southern, redneck, 4X4 driving, gun in the back window, moonshine still in the backyard personality? :P

Sorry, it's late and I was in a silly mood.

Have a great week Tivo and I hope your mate feels better soon.
