In your case, though, Tumnus, Beaver, and Susan all are components. Compromise, practicality, and skepticism are the elements.

Well somebody had to be the witch, no? She's a very difficult character to understand, I think. Superficially, of course, one sees her as simply evil, but it's far more complicated than that, especially when you look at the overall picture. In spite of her own magical powers, she seems to be an existentialist sort to me.

Interesting. From the allegory standpoint, I'd say that Lucy's characteristic is FAITH. Peter's is RESPONSIBILITY. Susan's is SKEPTICISM or DOUBT. Edmund's is VISION (in the end.) Aslan is indeed STRENGTH (what else can a lion be? WISDOM I guess.) Mr. Beaver represents RELIABILITY or STEADFASTNESS I think.

In the context of the whole series, Edmund isn't so bad. Susan is the one who eventually loses her ability to believe in the fantasy. I'd rather be Edmund than Susan, truthfully. :)
