Date: 2006-05-20 03:21 pm (UTC)* which means it's ultimately Wolf's fault, because I wouldn't have met Bob in real life if I hadn't met Wolf first. And he doesn't even have a journal.

Date: 2006-05-20 03:37 pm (UTC)You seem to have that kind of laid back, methodical way of looking at life that I generally try to achieve. No major rush to get here or there, plenty of time to think about something if you need to. That sort of thing. :)
Not sure if I'm making sense here. Mainly, it's just the "feeling" I've gotten from interacting with you in the LJ space.

Date: 2006-05-21 10:43 am (UTC)Your computer posts just seemed oh so familiar. My experience also goes back to the S-100 era, and I'm now in the process of attempting to abandon Windows in favor of Linux.

Date: 2006-05-21 12:30 pm (UTC)My advice on abandoning Windows is "just do it." You won't regret it, and with that much experience, you won't have much trouble. If you have one or two really seriously Windows-dependent applications that you can't live without (I deal with this at work, alas) you can usually get them to run under WINE or, if they are really Windows-dependent, by using some form of VMWare.
(Sorry for the double notification. Someday I'll learn to hit "preview".)

Date: 2006-05-21 12:36 pm (UTC)I'm brutally selective, I like having people on that
can;
a) Gracefully suffer through the bouts of idiocy
I may spout, and;
b) post interesting things, like this.
There, now you know! ^_^

Why do you think I'm on your friends list? :)

Date: 2006-05-22 01:30 pm (UTC)Yep, I've been at MFF the last two years so we may well have met. :)

Date: 2006-05-25 01:04 am (UTC)I "friended" you because I really like how you express yourself. I also like what I can see from your philosophy of life. And I also "friended" you because I can relate to most of what you're talking about.
I hope one day we will have the opportunity to meet IRL.

Date: 2006-05-29 05:18 pm (UTC)But here, there have been so many things that it has become hard to choose, and I will instead say that I won't reply - other than by saying that true friendship can not be measured in words.
