And you thought sheep were just innocuous fluff balls, didn't you? All you wuffie types better look out.

WETA Workshop completes Black Sheep, a film about genetically modified sheep that run amok.

I dunno if I really want to see this, it's probably as hokey as Jurassic Park but still, the idea...

Looks very "Night of the Lepus"-ish.

Don't know that one, but you're probably right just guessing from the title.

For killer shrews I could settle on a steel flyswatter.

Killer sheep... Well, those guys are hefty and not easy to deter when their minds are set on something...

Oh dear. My first thought was of a Tom Smith song...

LOL. We do have a basso sheep, actually, but it's a female. Our ram is quite the tenor.

Reminds me of the Simpsons 'Tomacco' episode, where Homer creates hybrid Tomato-tobacco plants and the local animals get addicted, including sheep an horsies (the sheep looking rather like the Weta things too ;) )

*snugs*

Ick. Now that sounds like a really distasteful story. ;) Tobacco. Eewww.

That one picture with the sheep with blood all over its face or whatnot is very, very, creepy.

I like sheep. :(

I wasn't so much taken aback by the sheep with bloody muzzle, after all, you already expect that. It was the caption: "Poor sheepdog!"

Well, I mean, I was just glancing through the pictures and not reading captions. It was creepy imagery, regardless.

Oh I agree it's creepy. I'm sure my sheep would agree too. ;p

Hypothetically outlining the next script, what would happen to the wool from such sheep?

Well, if they are as ferocious and dangerous as all that, I imagine the wool would be prized and considered precious, greatly overpriced. And then greedy people would try to pass off the wool of domesticated sheep as being from the killers...

I was thinking along the lines of wool having a savage life of its own - the sequel being The Case of The Killer Tank Top

Looks like a corny, but fun film.

Yes, well. I'm trying to imagine the upset to ruminant digestion caused by a sudden switch to a raw meat diet. This could be the "out" for the plot. Like H.G. Wells' Martians, the sheep all die of their own error.

Look at the Bones!!!

It would probably make New Zealand the most dangerous place in the world.

I wouldn't know personally. But according to the soccer and cricket fans among my friends, it already is the most dangerous place in the world.
