Supper from the garden

First time this year.

Kohlrabi in sweet and sour sauce
Mashed sweet potatoes with melted butter
Sweet corn
The first tomatoes (tiny cherry tomatoes, but ripe)
Applesauce
Home made wheat bread
Wine (of course)

I ate too much of everything. Can't wait for the okra and peppers to be ready.

This is whole wheat bread. Sure it has some starch, but I don't care what you've been told, you can't live without any carbs. You'll get ketosis and die.

I'm hoping that over the next 5 years, my dietry habits will be tempered slightly and I might find enjoyment in being something other than a carnivore.

I can suggest recipes and cookbooks that help with that.

On the other hand, my mate does half the cooking and he never cooks a meal that doesn't include something of meat. There was some bacon in the kohlrabi, and he made breaded pork tenderloin slices as well (I did eat one small bit of that. I admit they are tasty.)
