Word pairs redux

Taking a leaf from woodychitwn's tree, here are my totals and my own take on those word pairs from last week:

• dominant (2.5) - submissive (3.5) - neither (1) : Yes. I can be either or none. On Tapestries MUCK for quite a while I carried a guild badge of "Independent, Equal" but the truth is, in relation to any particular individual, I will probably be one or the other.


• logical (5.5) - intuitive (1.5) : Agreed again. I tend to be logical, but I am not without intuition and my intuition is usually right if I can get myself to listen to it. I almost never can get others to hear it, though.


• social (4) - loner (3) : I work well by myself, I'm more comfortable that way, and will choose it as the path of least resistance, though I function well enough socially and even enjoy it once I get the lay of the land as it were.


• kinky (1) - vanilla (6) : What can I say? I'm not unimaginative, but I don't seek that kind of adventure either.


• cute (1.5) - sophisticated (5.5) : Thanks to those who thought I was cute. I often try to be, but rarely get away with it.


• kitten (1) - puppy (4) - colt/foal (2) : Well, yeah. cabcat votes for kitten and I wonder if there's an ulterior motive... ;p


• flannel sheets (7) - satin (0) : Yes, folks, it's that obvious.


• leader (5) - follower (1) - neither (1) : I'm often cast in the role of leader by circumstances, experience, or knowledge, but it's never my own choice. I much prefer to stay out of the political target zone.


• quiet (6) - talkative (1) : I don't open up easily in groups made up largely of people I don't know, but otherwise, usually it's getting me to shut up that people work on, rather than getting me to talk.


• spontaneous (1) - planned (6) : I can work with others' spontaneity, but I won't be spontaneous myself in most cases.


• teddy bear (7) - porcelain doll (0) : Yesh. There's nothing else to say.


• hiking (6.5) - window shopping (0.5) : Nope, I don't even run windows, let alone shop it.


• tequila (2) - vodka (2) - neither (1) - wine (1) : I'm not big on distilled liquors of any sort. The wine wins.


• top (3.5) - bottom (2.5) : I'm a chameleon. I'll play whichever role works easiest with a partner, or trade off with him. It's more about giving pleasure than receiving it for me in most cases.


• bare foot (5) - shoes (2) : No shoes for me if I can possibly avoid it.


• jeans (6) - slacks (0) : Definitively so.


• tender (6) - rough (1) : Comes complete with the symptoms, easily rejected, reticent about making approaches or requests, etc.


• aware (5.5) - dreamy (0.5) : I'm a dreamer, actually, but shy about admitting to it. I often have to play things that have just happened back in my mind to figure it out, because I was not paying attention.


• nerd (7) - jock (0) : I'm not sure how these are opposites. As you all can plainly see, though, I'm no jock.


• brains (4.5) - brawns (1.5) : No brawn. Not only do I lack it, but I'm rarely inclined to try to use it.


• common sense (4) - book smarts (3) : I use plenty of each, but I'd much rather follow common sense generally.

I saw that list in your journal and thought there were too many where the either-or choice wasn't very applicable to you.
