This must be Thursday...
Sep. 21st, 2006 06:59 pmTried that "Fruit Quiz" that
corelog took and came out a kiwi. I wonder if that means I should move to NZ? Probably not. I think they won't take me at my age.
Neighbors' yappy little terrier who runs loose all the time has been hanging out in our arena. I wouldn't care too much except Tess doesn't like him, and he doesn't like the cats. He chases the cats, and they climb up the shelves to get away from him. Those shelves contain dozens of cartons of books, sealed up for storage. When a cat is perched up high, he digs, paws, and whines down below and has managed to tear open a couple of boxes, dumping books all over. I wish they'd find a buyer and go. Their place has been up for sale now for about five months, but they've priced it too high and there are no buyers. My luck will be that when they do finally leave, they'll leave half the animals behind in the woods and we'll still be dealing with them. If the goose is still here he's getting roasted.
In other news, there isn't any other news. Looking forward to the weekend, mostly, hoping it doesn't rain. Oh, finally got the correct floor mats for my car, so I have to return the wrong ones they sent. Of course their prepaid return label is for Federal Express and I'll have to drive to Crystal Lake to drop them off. Idiots. No more orders from that place.

Date: 2006-09-22 12:22 am (UTC)Thunder is the perfect gentlestallion taking easy small bites but just as much juicy deliciousness.
Rubber lips I love 'em.
The girls are the same except for Cheyenne, who obviously wants the apples and pears and treats but something or someone in her past has made her afraid to take treats so she just stands there wanting but not ever actually taking. Stormy and Selene vie for them and many pieces get dropped and yet they all get munched up, eventually.
Horses. I love them all. Dogs, too.
Cats? Well I have liked like three out of fifty in my lifetime.

Date: 2006-09-22 02:11 am (UTC)The boys, on the other hoof, eat everything offered. They like garden vegetables, like green beans or peapods, strawberries, lettuce, or even tomatoes (the little cherry ones.) When we had them at the boarding stable years ago, the couple whose horses were across the aisle demonstrated that horses like sweet corn too. They would cut the ears up into one inch chunk, and their horses and ours ate it up, cob and all. ;p
Poor Chey. She needs a chance to be by herself with no competition, so she can pick up treats off the ground or something. Is she head shy? I've noticed when I'm around that she always hangs back while Stormy and Selene come right up to be petted. I thought she just didn't trust me because I was a stranger.
