Rain rain

Well, they've been saying it was gonna rain ever since Saturday night, but it finally is doing so. Very cold and wet at that.

Consequently, I'm not going out in it, because the cold still hasn't let go. Just traveled down from stuffy head to sore chest and a cough, which is a normal progression for me. Perhaps unwisely, I went in to work and ended up staying the whole day. Consequently, I'm beat now. On the other hand, it's just as well I went, because the boss had lots of questions about the library system migration that I couldn't have answered from home without access to the papers on my desk.

Wonder if I have something to read that will keep me awake rather than letting me doze off immediately... (cuz I don't want to wake up at 2 am and not be able to sleep any more.) Lots of books waiting, but most are pretty dense reading.

Blackcurrant juice, hmmm. Did you know that is almost completely unavailable over here? I've heard it makes good wine too.

Dear Rider,

I am also feeling and getting slowly better. Having a blast at work... met an old Matanuska-Susitna Borough Wasilla friend, Lars Opland, one of the best model airplane builders around and e-mailing. I have already begun several model kits to offer to sell and make money although it is not that much money but still... Will take a while. Fun fun fun I can barely wait to get to work each day and yet, after the ol' eight or more hours it is time to sit at home again and then the home chores begin. Grin.

Oh good. I was thinking I should e-mail you and ask if you were over it. Meant to do that last night but I went to bed at 8pm and never got up again until 4:30 this morning. That's exceedingly long sleep for me, but it must have helped. I feel a lot better now.

That's cool that you're having fun. Always makes everything much more pleasant. I'm about to make a post about fun at work, too.
