Photo nostalgia from the 80s

After a discussion with marzolan about what exactly is "scary", I went looking for these old photos and, wonder of wonders, actually found them.

	Tivo with snow leopard Taken at a Sagittarius party, the evening after Tivo took and passed his CDP exams. The leopard was pleased with the company, Tivo doesn't remember much about that evening.
	Ferocious biker Halloween 1987. Don't you just want to run away cuddle him?
	Cub Scout and Bee Halloween 1987. The Cub Scout threatens the giant honeybee with a water pistol.
	Judge Bork Halloween 1987. Voted scariest costume that year, Robert Bork had been nominated for the Supreme Court. Among other things, he did not believe there was a constitutional right to privacy.
	Halloween 1988 Two yuppie scum, a ninja, and the polar bear.
	Polar Bear Tivo impersonates a polar bear for Halloween 1988, shown here with Sasha who dressed up as a hippie from 1969.
	Who is more frightening? Frankly, I vote for yuppie scum number one, who appears to have even made yuppie scum number two feel a bit apprehensive.
	However... My partner finds this the most frightening of the 1988 photos, because he still fit into his Air Force uniform (and... he still had so much hair.) Note the heavy photo album on coffee table just above Sasha's nose. That very same album had these photos in it still.

Great idea. Some day to do a retrospective of costumes! When I was about 7 my family dressed me up as a candy cane. I know there are pictures somewhere. Nostralgia! In 1991 one of my staff made me a dinosaur fursuit, but I didn't know what a fursuit was then. I couldn't explain why I kept wanting to wear this costume. I think I wore it to a wine convention once and another time on stage at the finals of a trivia competition.

There are halloween parties at some of the bars here with prizes. My partner's boss wants to dress herself up as little red riding hood and go out with me in my wolfsuit.

Golden retrievers

They are one of the sweetest breeds. Sasha there was the first of three we have had. I've got a photo around somewhere with both the other two in it. I'll scare it up and post it for you. At present, alas, we are goldenless. Sasha was already elderly when those photos were taken, as you can see, and would be about 32 years old if she were still with us. Obviously, she is gone and still missed. Tee was a two year old rescue when we got him, and developed a fatal cancer at only nine, which was really a tragic heartbreak because he was still in his prime. Sunny we rescued from the pound here when she was already at least 13 years old, and we managed to keep her going through about three years of declining health before it was too much for her.

Sasha was the very light color. When she grew older, you could hardly perceive the whitening of her face, so obvious on Sunny here. Tee was a very dark gold, almost the red of an Irish Setter when we got him.

Good lord, where did you dig those up? I remember most of the events pictured, and had forgotten Roger's Robert Bork costume (which was wonderful). I see your posting includes a rare blogosphere appearance of me before I had a beard. I look about 10.

Yes, and you left your bee wings behind. They hung on the back of the dressing room door for a long time, perhaps more than a year.

These photos are from the very end of that fat album. It contains a lot of incriminating photos from GLO trips and other events that took place even earlier. ;p
