And it's still raining. On and off, mist to drizzle to real rain, gray gloom (or was until it finally got dark.)

Got back three of my fleeces that I sent to Ohio for processing. Well worth the cost, I think, they are carded and ready to spin now. At least, as soon as I free a wheel up to try them...

My announcement to my boss, in writing, that I was going to go back on the job market was merely met with the hope that it would take me a long time to find something because she doesn't want me to leave. She seems as supportive of my position as I could expect.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] corelog and I exchanged a couple of cell phone texts today, establishing that my carrier will indeed deliver SMS over the border to Canada. However, message(s) sent by [livejournal.com profile] calydor from Europe have never arrived. Not sure whether the block is at his end or mine.

I was up before 4 am this morning, no wonder I'm tired. I think that's it for tonight.

Tried sending two in total; I'm sad to hear they never made it there, and will (perhaps) get around to asking my provider exactly how text messages are sent abroad. Could be useful to know some day.

Yes, if it is possible then it's probably worth knowing how to do. If you want to e-mail me your number, I can try sending from this end. If it goes through, you should be able to read the return number to see how it's coded. Of course, it may just not go through that way either.

Dear Tivo-Rider and Caly.

I count you two as my best friends. I pay attention to you and will do anything I can for you. We are miles apart.

We love horses.

I have tried it all, on-line and what I can only describe as gawdawful misunderstanding between man and horse. I believe we, who care, will keep trying to get to know them better because we see something very deep into our selves. Perhaps we are not that different.

Was just out lying with the girls. Galloping over to meet and greet up the tall hill, a hindquarter bunch of muscles to come.

Dare I give myself away again?

Nuzzles and more soft nuzzles. Smart and knowing faces. Their eyes blow me away so easy to see inside.

Good gifts from a world we may never truly understand.

Tree leaves blowing and swirling about me as I go out back into the wild woods only to discover I feel at home.

Amidst the chaeos, the never-delivered dreams.

Rearing stallions demanding their rights.

Dream mares sillying themselves about being female and attractive.

Life goes on.

Lying to the girls? Shame on you, if they find out they'll get even.

Sun is finally out here too, but the wind is blowing fierce and the temp is only in the 40s. Gonna see if I can't put Tess out for a while though. She hasn't been out in weeks because of all the new grass growth. Turns out grass founder was a big problem around here this year. I've heard of multiple cases on farms where they never had it before. Now I don't feel so bad about having somehow made a mistake. At least we got it in time. Tess is fine, just miffed about being kept on dirt all summer and no grass.
