Turkey day greetings
Nov. 23rd, 2006 10:17 amFor all of you who are celebrating today (mostly the US folk, but everyone is included if they wish to be) I wish you a pleasant day and good times. Be careful driving if you are traveling for anything.
No, I'm not roasting a pegasus. The icon was just the closest thing to a turkey I had handy. ;p Well, at least it has wings...

... and a happy turkey to you, too
Date: 2006-11-23 05:45 pm (UTC)I'm driving just a little bit, maybe twelve miles round trip (go get mom, go to sister's, take mom home, go home). Not even any freeways involved. But I'll try to be careful.

Date: 2006-11-24 12:50 am (UTC)We drove about 100 miles round trip, or at least Gary did. I was excused from the driving responsibility, which is just fine with me. I hate driving on the tollways.

Date: 2006-11-23 05:51 pm (UTC)Well, my traditional Turkey Day feast is lasagna but this year Bear and I are having Alaska King Crab legs with buttersauce, pumkin pie (Bear again), asparagus and candied yams and so forth.
I am busily going through art supplies and writing down ideas for drawings and paintings.
Nice day. Worked four hours to help finances. (I do not get payed holidays off so far... need to go full-time, which I am now doing but for six months first before the payed holidays (five per year I think) and a week payed vacation next Summer to visit parental units hopefully.
Imp having fun today (rode my big inflatable dragon this morning).
Grin.

Date: 2006-11-24 12:57 am (UTC)[Opens fridge to check...] Yup, turkey, stuffing, gravy, two kinds of cranberries, broccoli salad, home baked bread, orange jello with shredded carrots in it, Australian shiraz, pumpkin pie, butterscotch pie, and whipped cream. If you can get here, you're welcome to all you can eat. ;)
Yes, overall it was a nice time other than the heavy traffic for the drive there and back.

Date: 2006-11-24 02:07 am (UTC)*You hear the sound of feet travelling through the light barrier and a highspeed knocking on your door. As soon as you open it a feline blur decends on your fridge and shuts himself inside. You hear all manner of noises and open the fridge to find a rather fat cat jammed inbetween the shelves and only the Shiraz left*
Delicious :)
