A good thing, I'm wiped out. I dunno how my boss does it, she was hosting three daughters, their husbands, and six grandchildren all week. She stopped in at the library just before closing with just two of the grandchildren and I just don't know how anyone could live with that, let alone six of them. Talk about busy, busy, busy, noisy, noisy, busy kids. You'd think they were hyped on sugar, which I doubt they were. I don't wanna see them when they are.

Anyway, this has been enough week. We got up extra early this morning to get the critter chores done so we could take both cars in for an oil change. Went to breakfast down the street while the dealer did their stuff. Gosh, cost me $20. First time I've taken a car for service in several years and gotten off that cheap. With the Cherokee it would have been at least $400 to fix whatever was wrong with it this quarter.

Weekend is gonna be just as busy as the week was. Why do they call it "holidays"? You end up working even harder. Poo.

This pony for bed.

I'm afraid that's the rule until January.

Dear Rider,

Well, perhaps after the crazy holidays, when things begin to return to whatever is normal, we might go for a good, long flight somewhere together.

I know this little lake gazebo.

Yes, please!

I noticed an exit to Mirror Lake from your home on FM, too.

$20? Did they change the filter? I noticed on a few newer cars they don't change the filter at the first service. Bloody hell $20 is nothing for an oil change O.O

As to the kids, a certain preservative in bread was found to cause hyperactivity preservative 285 I think, you can now easily buy 285 free bread here.

Well, I didn't watch to see, but the bill says they changed the filter. $9 for labor, $8.50 for the oil, and $3.45 for the filter. Oil changes are a pretty competitive thing here, which may keep the price down. I'm not sure how the US dollar compares to AU just now, but $21.95 is about the usual charge here for that service, whether you go to a dealer, a general service garage, or a quick change oil specialty place like Jiffy-Lube.

I used to do my own, but then you have to deal with getting rid of the used oil, and by letting the pro do it they handle the recycling for you.

Yes, I've heard the argument that preservatives in food cause hyperactivity. I'm not convinced, though. It does seem to be an epidemic problem, so there is some cause but I have no idea what it is. There were lots of preservatives in food 30 or 40 years ago too, but we didn't see so much evidence of this.
