The forces of the library rebellion are proceeding apace. It looks more and more as if some of the libraries in our local group will indeed "bolt" from the forced merger and set up their own shared catalog software and resource sharing. I consider this inevitable, and I'm doing my best to promote it now. No more pulled punches or polite agreements. The emperor has no clothes on.

The one important and expensive gift I ordered still hasn't been shipped, apparently, which worries me. They promised delivery by the 22nd, and I paid some extra to get it even sooner. Bah, humbug.

Spent a good chunk of the evening recording an hour long broadcast that may or may not air on Christmas Eve. I'll be making it available somehow after that in the form of a podcast, I hope. No, it's not a Christmas program, but rather another run on animal imagery in music.

Bedtime...

Yes, it's a sequel to the one I did earlier this year (in which I played one of your pieces) that was specifically furry. This one is more about generic animal imagery, and uses soundtrack selections from films such as Watership Down, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and The Lion King, as well as popular and folk songs.

If it manages to wend the tenuous path it has to follow for broadcast, it will air at 7 pm your time on Christmas Eve, which is probably convenient for no one. But I'll either put it somewhere for download for a while or else send it on CD to anyone who asks for it within a week or two of the air time. At 28 Mbytes it's a bit too large for my usual ftp servers to hold for very long if at all.

*snicker*

Yes, back in August. I asked your permission even. I featured music by furry musicians and with furry themes, and your Wildflowers was one of the featured selections.
