The very talented keyboardist, Flare Starfire (flaredragon) has just released a new CD entitled Crossroads and is offering it at a very reasonable price. I recommend it strongly if you like keyboard artistry, smooth jazz, or new age, and that isn't just because it includes a track that he named after me. XD

You can read his announcement here. If you're going to FC, he should be there and can deliver an autographed copy. Help out a struggling artist, you'll like what you hear.

Yes, it really is. I hesitate to use the words "new age" because there is so much mush associated with it. Nonetheless, I will compare Flare's work to that of Jim Brickman or even George Winston. It is rich and colorful without being obtrusive. Definitely not elevator music, and yet it allows one to think while listening, rather than overpowering thought. I've heard the entire CD and every track on it is worth the listening.

I think that says it. Its not elevator music,
but it doesn't elbow its way into your frontal
lobes and say "PAY ATTENTION DAWG!" It just
says its piece. Nicely done.
