Author's biography
Jan. 29th, 2007 09:00 pmFor those still interested, here are the three versions I sent off and told them to pick and choose as they wished:
SILLY:
Altivo Overo was born in a barn when dinosaurs still walked the earth. Even in his earliest years, he always dreamed of writing the great American novel. In his spare time he is a horse who tie-dyes cows, and he got to where he is today by eating his vegetables and not listening to neigh-sayers. The movie that most influenced his life is Black Beauty, and he is best known for his handknit horse blankets.
SERIOUS:
Altivo Overo is known to some of furry fandom as "The Clydesdale Librarian" because he maintains a web site by that name and also records an occasional podcast on the subject of furry literature. A professional librarian in real life, he and his partner live on a tiny farm in Illinois, where they are kept by three horses, a small flock of sheep, and several discerning dogs and cats.
PROVIDED BY MY MATE:
Altivo Overo is a librarian with eclectic interests, including textile arts (spinning, weaving, and knitting), blogging, cooking, pets, stamp collecting, genealogy, and things Furry. He is also a ham radio operator and musician (theater organ, flute). He lives on a small farm between Chicago and Rockford with a variety of critters including horses, sheep, dogs, cats, bunnies, and ducks.
Thanks to
tinbender for his hilarious poll, which I used in creating the "silly" version, and thanks to those who actually voted, helping me to choose the best options.
They also asked for a list of prior publications which I dodged. I don't think furry readers will care about a long list of technical and academic articles, or even about my one previous piece of fiction, which was gay male erotica and not furry.
