It's a girl

As predicted, our ewe Jetta lambed overnight. She had twins, which I had expected based on how large she had grown, but unfortunately one of them, a white ram lamb, was stillborn. The little black ewe lamb (as yet unnamed) is doing well and has quite a loud voice as we discovered when we briefly separated her from her mom this morning while sorting out the sheep. She and her mother are now in a separate pen and seem quite satisfied with that.
Photos to come later today I trust.

Ducks are funny that way too. If it quacks, it's a female duck. If it croaks like a frog, it's a drake.
