As predicted, our ewe Jetta lambed overnight. She had twins, which I had expected based on how large she had grown, but unfortunately one of them, a white ram lamb, was stillborn. The little black ewe lamb (as yet unnamed) is doing well and has quite a loud voice as we discovered when we briefly separated her from her mom this morning while sorting out the sheep. She and her mother are now in a separate pen and seem quite satisfied with that.

Photos to come later today I trust.

Better hold the mint sauce for a while. They're mighty scrawny when they first pop out.

Aww, a shame that one was lost, but at least the other one sounds healthy. With such a set of lungs perhaps you should try training a lamb choir? *grins*

We already have a sheep chorus. You should hear them when they think it's time to eat and no one has brought on the chow.

Curiously, the girls have the low voices and the boys are the tenors.

Ducks are funny that way too. If it quacks, it's a female duck. If it croaks like a frog, it's a drake.

I'm sure genetics holds the key, and that sounds familiar so i'm sure in high school we talked about that, but honestly I can't remember ^^

Awr! Poor stillborn.

I think you should name the loud one
Syrinx. XD

Or maybe just Larynx? I think Stentor was the guy with the loud voice. Stentoria? That has a ring to it but it's a bit long. Euphonia would be good (well voiced) but that becomes Phony for short...

I suggested P. Ewe, but that was rejected, as was Deja V. Ewe. All my good ideas never succeed.

Deja Ewe is actually a rather inspired bit
of nameplay.

Stand your ground! Deja Ewe! Deja Ewe!

Maybe Ewe-phoria. Not bad, actually.
