Rain, rain

Well, so it isn't really the March lion any more, it's too warm for that. Still, it was drizzly and gloomy all day. Daffodils are waiting for an excuse to pop all over the place, but there hasn't been enough sun. The ducks normally would be laying a few eggs by now but we haven't seen a one, again I think because of not enough sun. (Though it's true those hens are getting elderly. Maybe they're past egg laying now.) If the rain would stop and the sun shine for a couple of days, we could start planting vegetables. Right now the soil is too wet, I'm afraid.

The deadline for my garment design and development workshop has been slipped to May 8. That gives me some extra time to sit and stare at the fabric I wove and wonder if I really dare cut it. ;p

We're both into the hack-and-cough stage of the virus, which means it's progressing I guess. I just wish I could smell and taste things again.

No April fools here, unless the fools be we ourselves.

Yes, it is, since I'm not wearing shoes. They're under the chair by the bed.

If somebody tells me that while wearing my Steed fursuit hooves with horseshoes, should I look down and begin to reach down as though to tie them and go "Oh."

Or should I just kick him.

Grin.

Impers

The Fen is incredibly soggy right now. I really want to plant my radishes and lettuce. I do have 2 varieties of pepper and 2 of eggplant coming up right now.

Have you seen this?

I though of you as soon as I saw it.

Of all the things to crochet...

I can't believe anyone would do that. I'll pass it on to Gary, though.

You've gotten over the first phase.

It leaves you thinking your okay.

Then your feet start to feel kinda...hard.

The hooves will be next.

XD

My feet are fine, at least as fine as usual, thanks.

As for procrastinating, I don't have time to procrastinate the sewing work, I'm too busy procrastinating a writing project that's due sooner (April 14.)

I'd get out the whip but you've
indicated it doesn't bother you.

*le sighs*

*Gets out the checkbook*

LOLZ. You could easily outbid the financial value of this project. The financial payout if it sells will be under $25 I think. The famenotoriety, however, is priceless in my estimation.

Thanks, Marz. We are improving, just not fast enough for our satisfaction.

Or for mine! And I'm sure it doesn't help you getting all the chores done around that place.

Actually, the chores are lighter once the snow and ice is gone. At the moment, it's not too difficult other than worrying about how long the hay supply will last. We probably need to find a source for a cushion of another 100 bales or so. At this time of year, that can be a challenge. I know our regular supplier is out. We got the last of what he had back in October.

Gary did almost all the outside stuff over the weekend, declining to let me help. It was sweet of him, when he was just barely better than I. I'd have resisted more, except when you've been unable to sleep all night and finally drowse off just before dawn, it's pretty easy to sleep through a mate slipping out to feed the horses and sheep by himself.

As to your hack and cough, that's usually the last stage as the body is trying to expel the virus :)
