Started with a staff breakfast at 8, then work till 12:30, after which I got to hurry home and go to the spinning study group meeting. We watched a video on cotton and silk which was quite interesting but at that time of day seemed to make most of us sleepy as well. I splurged and bought a couple of knitting books I couldn't resist:

Put Tess out in the pasture for a couple of hours while I cleaned and watered and all, brought everyone in and bedded them down, made dinner for myself and the dogs, and I'm wiped out. I must be getting old. I used to be able to do a lot more than that in a day.
This weekend is Gary's and my 25th anniversary together, but we have no big plans other than I'm taking him to dinner at a place he hasn't been before. We thought of inviting some friends over but nearly everyone seems to be out of town. I haven't thought of a wonderful gift for him either. Silver would be traditional I guess, but he won't wear jewelry and there aren't many practical things made of it.
At least the weather has cooled off, but it was pretty gloomy this afternoon. I hope the weekend is nicer.

*lol* Michael is always shocked by people that won't wear jewelry. The first thing he bought when he was a teen with money he made himself was a piece of jewelry (a ring), much to the consternation of his parents.

Date: 2007-06-29 06:24 pm (UTC)I wear limited amounts of jewelry, but gave up on rings years ago because my fingers swell in cold or hot weather.
