Getting warped
Jul. 8th, 2007 11:15 amNext weaving project going onto the loom now. This is for a set of soft cotton towels. My weavers' guild is celebrating its tenth annual show this fall, and inviting entries based on "Twists and Turns of Ten," so this will be one of those.
"Summer and Winter" refers to a weaving technique that produces reverse images front to back. So on the other side, you will see red where you see white here, and vice versa.

That is 'Tivo's yarn. Kitties don't touch it, or else, no berry pies for them.

Date: 2007-07-09 11:27 am (UTC)In our old house, the looms were upstairs and cats weren't allowed. The door at the top of the stairs was always shut. Here I don't have that luxury. Fortunately, the cats are no longer young and they have left my weaving alone. (Though one found a loose end and unraveled almost the entire strap on one of my backpacks. Grrr.)
